About

Seton Moms

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Keller TX

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month September thru May from 9:15 am – 11 am in the John Paul II Room (in the old house north of the sanctuary by the nursery). All mothers of the parish are welcome whether you are married/widowed/divorced/single or your children are young, school age or grown. Childcare is provided in the church nursery and is open early for drop off before the meetings start, see below. We use our time together during our meetings to enjoy guest speakers or share with one another over Bible study. We also have extra curricular social events sprinkled through out the year.  Seton Moms is looking to grow and would love for you to come join us at our next meeting!

Seton Moms Mission Statement

Seton Moms is open to mothers of all ages from our parish. We seek to serve our parish in the following ways:

Faith Formation - We want to grow closer to the Lord and His Church by learning together. To accomplish this we invite speakers and engage in Bible studies together.

Friendship – In a parish as large as ours, it’s very important to make friends with common interests and vocations. We encourage this through icebreakers, email contact, and scheduled social events throughout the year (Harvest Brunch, Advent Party, Spring Tea, playdates, Ladies Night Out, Book Club, Couples Nights, etc…)

Shared Vocation – As wives and mothers we want to give our best in serving God and our families. Seton Moms provides support in our vocations through discussion of topics such as marriage, parenting, and homemaking skills.

Prayer Life – Mothers don’t often have the luxury of extra time to devote to prayer. We want to support each other by providing opportunities for prayer – during meetings and beyond. We intercede for each other’s prayer requests, and we are interested in setting up an Adoration Hour for mothers, with co-op childcare.

Charity – We conduct regular fundraisers in order to give to certain charities which we feel support mothers and children. At present, our recipients are the Manto milk line, Gabriel’s Angels, and the parish nursery. We also maintain the garden in the parking lot.

Journal Group – Seton Moms coordinates semi-annual journal studies in a small group setting for faith-sharing. These are an excellent way to get to know other mothers in the parish and grow in the vocation of motherhood.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us!

Nursery Care

The church nursery is open to us for our meetings and you may drop off your little ones as early as 9:00. Mrs. Ellie and Mrs. Leigh Ann will be there to take care of our sweet children, however we do ask for 1-2 volunteers of the group to help out in the nursery at each meeting. There will be a sign up sheet at the first meeting. All volunteers are encouraged to have completed the Keeping Kids Safe training class. You can find class listings on the Upcoming Events page of this site. Children of all ages and needs are welcome to the nursery, however, we ask that children who have been ill in the last 24 hours (fever, vomiting, rash…) please stay home as to provide a safe play environment for all of the children.
